Virtual Relief is a fiscally sponsored program of the Center for Social Change – a registered 501(c)(3) public charity that supports visionaries in South Florida who want to change the world. We believe strongly in the beneficial impact that Virtual Reality can make on the lives of individuals facing mental and/or physical pain and who may be confined to a medical facility. Through Virtual Reality we want to provide these individuals who are experiencing pain, discomfort, loneliness, sadness, depression, and even boredom, with a time of fun, happiness and relaxation.
The power of VR lies in three unique characteristics:
MENTAL FOCUS
Shifts attention away from pain
INTERACTION
Replaces feeling of control
IMMERSION
Alleviates anxiety

To Virtual Relief and its volunteers, thank you so much. We have had great reactions to your Virtual Reality Program. The individuals who we serve at the Ann Storck Center love your visits and enjoy the Virtual Reality experiences that you provided to them. The results have been positive and we would love to continue to expand on your VR and AI program to enrich the lives of our individuals.

SupporterVirtual Relief is an extraordinary initiative which offers the promise of meaningful and potentially therapeutic VR and AI experiences for individuals confined to their homes or hospitals due to illness or disabilities. Can you imagine what it might feel like for a women to hike the himalaya’s after years of not being able to use her legs or the meditative effect of swimming along dolphins for a child undergoing chemotherapy? Epic.
