Erick Lorenzo has over 25 years of Marketing and Print Production experience. He started his career in printing with his family business where he and his partners handled worldwide accounts. Over the years he worked as an Art Director, Account Executive and Consultant before moving on to found Zo Creative, a Graphic Design, Printing and Web Design business in Miami.
Erick’s true passion has been technology and gaming as well as helping people. In 2015 Erick reunited with his long time friend Gaspar Ferreiro who was working with Virtual Reality. After taking a demo of his friend’s new game and absolutely loving the total immersion he experienced and seeing another person who was in a wheelchair take the demo as well and expressing her enjoyment, Erick realized Virtual Reality could be his path to combine both of his passions, technology and helping people.
Since then, Erick decided to work tireless to create a non profit organization that would use Virtual Reality to serve people who are going through a difficult time suffering from any physical or mental pain and who are confined to a hospital or any medical facility. The Virtual Relief Organizations was founded by Erick Lorenzo with the support of Gaspar Ferreiro and the Center for Social Change in Miami Florida. It as served patients at the University of Miami Hospital and it is currently serving individuals at The Ann Storck Center, a facility that serves children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Erick has has come very far in Virtual Reality and the Non Profit world since he started his mission. He was commended by the Office Depot Foundation as a Difference Maker for The Summer Intern Program. He has been invited to participate and speak at many different events such as The East Coast Game Conference (ECGC) in North Carolina, Terminus in Atlanta, Florida Supercon in Miami, Social Media Week in Miami, Social Tech Live in Miami, Latism in Orlando Florida, The Immersive Developers Conference in Huston Texas, Baptist South Miami Hospital Family Event in Miami, and FIU Tech Day in collaboration with Microsoft in Miami. In addition he is scheduled to participate in many other events covering the Arts and Education.
